IN THIS LESSON

Our neurology is constantly being rewired by our experience and what we give our attention to. Yet we live in a world filled with greed and aggression and where our attention is often manipulated by advertising, etc. We also live in bodies that over-rely on the toxic stress response and generate inaccurately skewed, negative perceptions. So this week we empower ourselves to interrupt this process and begin our neurological evolution.

JOURNAL PROMPT: WEEK 2

Reflect on your experience meditating on the body this week — specifically, the direct and visceral experience of tension dissolving, of relaxation arising, of the mind settling…. even if it was only for one nanosecond (which is more than some people experience in a lifetime).

Describe your experience as best as you can (there is no right or wrong), using as many adjectives as you can. Get your brain all up in the experience as much as possible, and for as long as possible or is reasonable.

(Note: We are describing the indescribable here, but the work of finding a way to approximate what the experience is like will help you wire this ability into your system all the more.)
